Description
I love locomotives from all old major builders, and the Baldwin Centercab is a favorite of mine. The Centercab was a monster loco at 74 ft. long, one of the longest transfer switchers ever. The units were originally designed for the EJ&E railroad, a belt line railroad around Chicago. I always wanted a model Centercab in N scale but as far as I know, no-one made one. So I did what most do, I made my own. I was looking at my FM H12-44 shell and I realized that it looked quite similar to the hoods that Baldwin made. So I ordered two more H12-44 shells off ebay and sliced them apart. I used an E-6 B unit frame and trucks for two reasons, #1 the length was really close to the length I needed and #2 I had an over abundance of E-6 B units, lol. Questions and comments are welcomed, enjoy.
